Midsummer Night
Join us for an enchanted evening and see the
gardens as you've never seen them before -- illuminated with lanterns and
decorated by the magical faeries. Bring a blanket and picnic dinner.
Relax and enjoy music and dance performances inspired by Shakespeare's "A
Midsummer Night's Dream". A night kissed with enchantment that promises
magic. Saturday, June 20, 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm. General Admission:
$12.00 in advance ($15.00 at the gate); Old Westbury Gardens Members: $10.00 in
advance ($12.00 at the gate); Ages 18 and under: Free when accompanied by an

Spring Garden Tea
Spend a gracious afternoon at the Gardens.
After a seasonal guided tour enjoy an elegant outdoor tea. Registration and

Relax after a week at work and enjoy twilight at the Gardens, Fridays in June
(5, 12, 26),
5:00 pm - 8:00 pm; admission $5.00, free for members and children.
Antique and Collectible Car Show
The most elegant antique auto show on Long Island, sponsored by Greater New York
Region Antique Automobile Club of America. In celebration of the Gardens'
50th anniversary, cars from 1959 are featured, Sunday, June 7, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
(rain date, June 14).
Plein Air Silent Auction
Members of the Nassau Art League will paint throughout the day in the gardens
and then hold a silent auction of their work to benefit the Gardens.

Books in the Ballroom
Long Island Landscapes and the Women who
Designed Them: Cynthia Zaitzevskya will discuss
her new publication, a long overdue tribute to the first female landscape
architects and the beautiful longevity of their work. Ms. Zaitzevskya,
historian of architecture and landscape architecture, teaches the history of
landscape architecture at Harvard's Landscape Institute, Sunday, April 26, 3:00
pm.
Arbor Day Tree Dedication Ceremony
Join family and friends, who have contributed to the
Tree Funds in memory of loved ones, to dedicate a new tree near the Primrose
Path,

Taste of Spring
Join Gardens members, new and old, for our
annual member appreciation event with a sampling of appetizers, entrees,
desserts and wines provided by some of Long Island's finest restaurants,
caterers and wineries. $25.00 per person (plus dues for yearly membership

The Bungtown
Botanical Garden of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory
Historic preservationist and tree enthusiast,
Elizabeth Watson, will speak about the "noble" trees on the campus of the
renowned laboratory. Ms. Watson will also sign copies of her recent book,
Grounds fro Knowledge, an inspiring journey through the campus Bungtown
Botanical Garden which was recently established through the Public Gardens

Dog Days
Bring your dog for an invigorating walk and
healthy exercise at Old Westbury Gardens. Designated garden areas.
Dogs must be leashed. Saturday and Sunday, April 18-19.
Dog Games, Demonstrations & Exhibits:
The Ladies Kennel
Association of America will sponsor a dog treat hunt and will offer
the Canine Good citizen test. Demonstrations by Long Island Agility, and
exhibits by area animal welfare and rescue groups, Saturday, April 18, 11:00 am

Enjoy a festive brunch at charming Orchard Hill and
then take an early spring stroll through the gardens. Reservations
