Create ornaments to decorate Santa’s tree. After our Holiday
celebration, the decorated tree will be given to an emergency
shelter for children operated by the
Interfaith Nutrition Network, a Long Island-based
organization that provides food, shelter and other services.
Holiday
Wreaths 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Create a wreath under the
direction of a member of the Gardens’ horticulture staff.

First Night and Tree Lighting
7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Be among the first to view Westbury House in its Holiday
splendor, enchantingly illuminated for this special evening!
The House will be filled with live holiday music and will
feature Santa Claus, a tree lighting ceremony on the North Lawn
at 8:15 pm, and light refreshments. The
Bethel Caroling Chorale
will present a concert at 7:15 pm and again at 8:30 pm. In
order to accommodate everyone, please plan to arrive at 7:00 pm
or 8:00 pm. General Admission: $10.00 adults, $5.00 children (2 – 12
yrs). Members: $5.00 adults, member's children free. No
reservations required; pay at ticket booth.

The Long Island Flute Club performs a holiday
performance enjoyed by all ages.

5:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Westbury House volunteers,
dressed as Edwardian Nannies, will provide your children with an
enchanting experience of holiday music, activities, games,
stories, and a visit to our own special Santa. Includes special appearance by dancers from the
Eglevsky Ballet
in Nutcracker Suite costumes. Parents are invited to tour
the House, shop peacefully, and join their children in the West
Porch for light refreshments. There will also be a raffle
to win 2 tickets to the Nutcracker at the Tilles Center. Space is limited. Registration required
beginning November 3. Most
appropriate for ages 3–9. Non-members: $15.00 adults, $10.00
children (3-9 yrs). Members: $12.00 adults, $8.00 children
(3-9 yrs).

Kende Trio
Concert1:30 pm– 2:30 pm A relaxing afternoon of classical chamber
music, including holiday pieces, performed by Long Island’s own
Kende Trio. The talented sisters – Alexis, violin; Crista,
viola/piano; and Daniela, cello- grew up playing at Old Westbury
Gardens. They now perform regularly on both local and national
television programs. Free with admission, but space is
limited. Tickets available at Westbury House on the day
of the concert.

Holiday Tea

Experience the time-honored tradition of afternoon tea in an
English Country House. Following a presentation on English
teatime customs, enjoy tea with scones, finger
sandwiches, and desserts. After your holiday-themed tea,
take a guided tour with a docent and Gardens’ horticulturist to
view the festively decorated Westbury House. Reservations
