Music Programs for Spring 2008 Poetica MusicaArtists-in-residence at Old Westbury Gardens perform chamber works in the Red Ballroom. Registration required. $25 (includes admission to house & gardens, and dessert reception); $20 Members, students & seniors. 6:45 pm Guided tour of house or garden, 7:30 pm Pre-concert talk, 8:00 pm Concert.
Flute RecitalBart Feller, Principal Flute of the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and the New York City Opera with Linda Mark, piano and Patricia Blackman Dunn, flute will perform in the Red Ballroom. Featured are works by Bach, Burton, Carter, Doppler, Karg-Elert, Martin and Reinecke. Sponsored by the Long Island Flute Ensemble. 2:00 pm, May 4 (click HERE to download flier). Student ConcertsSuzuki on the Island Students perform on piano and stringed instruments. 2:00 pm, April 13 and 1:30 pm, June 14.Young Musicians Concert Pre-collegiate students from the regions’ premiere music schools. 2:00 pm, April 20 & June 15. |
