The talk will explore the basic fundamentals of organic gardening. Learn the benefits and limitations and the basic biological principles of organic gardening. We will explore easy and simple steps for home gardeners to utilize natural biological processes and organic treatments to make their garden a healthy environment for people, pets, insects, and wildlife. Bridget KibbeyPoetic Musica: Awake the Harp 8:00 pm The renowned harpist, Bridget Kibbey joins the members of Poetica Musica in a concert of French and Spanish music performed by Barry Crawford, flute, Eleanor Valkenburg, soprano, and Oren Fader, guitar featuring works by Villa-Lobos, Debussy, De Falla, Stravinsky and more. Works include the Bachianas Brasileiras, no.5 by Heitor Villa-Lobos arranged for flute, voice and guitar, Four Russian Songs, for voice, guitar, flute, and harp by Igor Stravinsky and Fantasie for Flute and Harp by Camille Saint-Saëns.

Works by Mozart and other composers, carefully selected for their appeal to children, are used as the basis for story telling, games, movement and song. Extensive use is made of hand puppets and easy to play small instruments and other musical props.
  • Tubby The Tuba 3:00 pm A nostalgic introduction to the orchestra.
