Home for the Holidays: A Designer Showhouse at Orchard Hill 10:00 am - 4:00 pm.
First Night and Tree Lighting 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm Be among the first to view Westbury House in its Holiday splendor, enchantingly illuminated for this special evening! The House will be filled with live holiday music and will feature Santa Claus, a tree lighting ceremony on the North Lawn at 8:15 pm, and light refreshments. The Bethel Caroling Chorale will present a concert at 7:15 pm and again at 8:30 pm. In order to accommodate everyone, please plan to arrive at 6:30 pm or 7:30 pm. General Admission: $15.00 adults, $5.00 children (2 – 12 yrs). Members: $5.00 adults, member's children free. For registration please call (516) 333-0048 Ext. 301. Nanny Night 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm A members only event. Gardens’ volunteers, dressed as Edwardian Nannies, provide children an experience of holiday music, activities, games, stories, and a visit with Santa. Reservations required. Most appropriate for ages 3–9. $16 adults, $13 children (3-9 yrs.). Registration begins November 1. Space is extremely limited. Under Wraps 7:00 pm Uncover the secrets behind some of the most impressive, crowd pleasing holiday gift-wraps. Use innovative ideas to make your "presents" known under the tree. A basic tsutsumi lesson shows you how simple paper folding will make them say WOW! Bring a gift in a small/medium box and one roll of wrap. A wildlife expert from the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center brings live owls for a meet and greet and later leads the outdoor search. Bring flashlights to guide your way.
