Adult Lecture: Tommy Hitchcock: American Hero 2:00 pm This year marks the 100th anniversary of Tommy Hitchcock’s daring escape from a German POW camp. At age 17 he left school and enlisted with the French air service since he was too young to serve in the U.S. military. In a multi-media presentation learn about his life as one of the best U.S. polo players of all time and especially his service in both World Wars – a life truly deserving the title of his biography “American Hero” by Nelson W. Aldrich, Jr.
