Join us for an evening of romantic and beautiful music as Poetica Musica and Old Westbury Gardens present Romantic Rendezvous<\/em> in the intimate and elegant Red Ballroom of Westbury House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Renowned pianists Javor Bra\u010di\u0107<\/strong> and Angelina Gadeliya<\/strong> make their series debut, performing solo and duo piano works by Chopin, Schubert, Faur\u00e9, Barber, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program includes Sonata in A minor<\/em><\/strong> by Franz Schubert, Dolly Suite<\/em><\/strong> for piano four hands by Gabriel Faur\u00e9, Rondo, Op. 5<\/strong> by Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Chopin, Souvenirs<\/em><\/strong> for piano four hands by Samuel Barber, and Crimean Sketches<\/em><\/strong> for solo piano by Serhii Bortkiewicz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Croatian pianist Javor Bra\u010di\u0107<\/strong> was praised by New York Concert Review<\/em> for his \u201cdeep, genuine musicianship and outstanding technique\u201d at his Carnegie Hall debut recital. He has performed widely throughout Europe and the United States, as well as in China, Ecuador, Chile, and South Africa. His performances have been broadcast on WQXR\u2019s McGraw Hill Young Artists Showcase<\/em>, and his debut CD, Tribute to Haydn<\/em>, was released by Labor Records. Bra\u010di\u0107 is a first-prize winner of several international piano competitions, including Luigia Stramesi and Citt\u00e0 di Minerbio (Italy), Les Rencontres des Jeunes Pianistes (Belgium), the Zlatko Grgo\u0161evi\u0107 Competition (Croatia), and the New York Concert Artists\u2019 Carnegie Recital Debut Audition.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ukrainian-American pianist Angelina Gadeliya<\/strong> leads a rich musical life as a soloist, chamber musician, new music specialist, and educator. Her work with the NYC-based Decoda ensemble has brought her frequently to the stages of Carnegie Hall and the Juilliard School, as well as to venues in Germany, South Korea, Abu Dhabi, and across the United States, including Princeton University, Vassar College, and Trinity Wall Street. Recent performances also include solo and chamber music recitals at New York\u2019s Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie\u2019s Weill and Zankel Halls, the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, and prestigious concert halls throughout Canada, Israel, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Poland, and Ukraine.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
