DESCRIPTION:Family Fun\, Kids\, Seasonal/Special Events\n\n\n\n\nChildren ages 2-3 are invited with caregivers for an interactive and engaging late morning program to learn through play with natural outdoor themes. Music\, movement\, and foundational gardening skills are introduced and developed during educator led sensory activities centered around flowers and plants growing in summer. Caregivers and children experience the Gardens side by side through guided exploration with opportunities to plant in our Tiny Community Garden\, and plant flowers and herbs to care for and bring home with Tiny Gardeners. \n\n\n\nThis is a 5-day Monday Through Friday\, all-weather program using an indoor space as needed.   \n\n\n\nAges 2-3\, Pre-registration is required and extremely limited.  $150 non-member child/ 20% discount for members. Yoga Alliance Teaching Certification. Nancy is thrilled to be an Ayurvedic Health Counselor practitioner & representative for the California College of Ayurveda’s Yoga Nidra Certification course. She is currently enrolled in the Clinical Ayurveda Program. Additionally\, she has earned her E-RYT 500 hours; Yoga Alliance approved Restorative Teacher training and 100 hr. Wildlife biologist Nic Comparato will guide us in learning how bats use echolocation to navigate the night and hunt for insects. You’ll listen for bat calls with specialized equipment\, search the skies for their silhouettes\, and discuss their important role in local ecosystems and ongoing conservation efforts. \n\n\n\nNic Comparato is a wildlife biologist specializing in bats and bioacoustics. They study bats by recording and analyzing their sonar. Nic is currently an associate field biologist with NYC Bird Alliance (formerly NYC Audubon) and a PhD student with the Aronson Lab for Urban Ecology at Rutgers University. This second week of our creative camp for ages 5-9 features the same inspiring theme with all-new activities. We’ll dive into drawing\, painting\, printmaking\, clay\, and more. Explore the outdoors\, play fun nature-inspired games\, and create artwork that celebrates the world around us!\n\n\n\n$300 per child. Members receive a 20% discount \n\n\n\nAdvance registration required. Space is limited. \n\n\n\nParticipant Registration forms must be completed to fully register for each session. DESCRIPTION:Family Fun\, Kids\, Seasonal/Special Events\n\n\n\n\nTickets for this tour include access to Westbury House and the gardens. All tickets are non-refundable. \n\n\n\nFor many years visitors to Westbury House asked what was beyond the first-floor corridor. Now they can go beyond the door and discover “secrets of the service wing.” \n\n\n\nIn this 60-minute guided tour you’ll be introduced to the intensive labor required to create the lifestyle experienced by the Phipps and their guests. You’ll tour the many rooms that were “behind the scenes” to create the formal dining experiences of the social peers of the Phippses in the early 20th century. You’ll go along the corridors to the butler’s pantry and silver cleaning room then descend the 17 steps to the kitchen\, scullery\, and wine storage rooms located on the ground floor. \n\n\n\nThis tour lasts a little over one hour and because of its physical demands\, it is not recommended for individuals with limited mobility or children under 8 years of age. This tour requires descending a narrow staircase of 17 steps down to the ground floor/basement\, so no person (including children and infants) may be lifted or carried throughout the tour. \n\n\n\n\n\npurchase tickets
