Whether you’re new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner\, this class offers a welcoming space to soften\, stretch\, and reset for the week ahead.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMarilyn Ashley is a yoga educator and E-RYT 500 with over 12 years of full-time teaching experience. Trained at Kripalu\, she integrates traditional yoga philosophy with a gentle\, accessible approach to movement and mindfulness. Marilyn leads teacher trainings\, retreats\, and workshops\, and is known for creating supportive spaces that encourage both personal growth and deep rest. Her work emphasizes the therapeutic and transformative aspects of yoga\, with a special focus on gentle practices\, breath-work and philosophical teachings. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNEW FOR 2026: There is no inclement weather location. DESCRIPTION:Seasonal/Special Events\, Tours\n\n\n\n\nJoin us for a gentle\, all-levels yoga class surrounded by the serene beauty of Westbury Gardens. This practice is designed to support mindful movement\, ease in the body\, and a sense of inner peace. Through slow\, intentional postures\, breath awareness\, and moments of stillness\, students are invited to reconnect\, restore\, and move at a pace that honors their unique needs. Whether you’re new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner\, this class offers a welcoming space to soften\, stretch\, and reset for the week ahead.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMarilyn Ashley is a yoga educator and E-RYT 500 with over 12 years of full-time teaching experience. Trained at Kripalu\, she integrates traditional yoga philosophy with a gentle\, accessible approach to movement and mindfulness. Marilyn leads teacher trainings\, retreats\, and workshops\, and is known for creating supportive spaces that encourage both personal growth and deep rest. Her work emphasizes the therapeutic and transformative aspects of yoga\, with a special focus on gentle practices\, breath-work and philosophical teachings. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNEW FOR 2026: There is no inclement weather location. If the class is cancelled due to inclement weather\, an announcement will be posted on the Old Westbury Gardens website by :6:00 pm the prior day.  \n\n\n\n$32 per session (registration can be done online or the day of at the admission booth—credit/debit cards only).  \n\n\n\nMembers receive a $11 discount ($11 fee per class) if they purchase at the gate (credit/debit cards only) or by phone; they receive a $12 discount ($10 fee per class) if they register online.  \n\n\n\n\n\nRegister\n\n\n\nbecome a member

DESCRIPTION:Seasonal/Special Events\, Tours\n\n\n\n\nExplore your creativity in this hands-on adult education program with our Education Manager! Participants will use a sketch pad\, pencil\, watercolor set\, and brush provided during class while learning techniques for sketching from observation. At the end\, take home your finished artwork to display—supplies are for use during class only. \n\n\n\nThis is a rain or shine program.
