Children’s Programs
Charla sobre árboles Levels K-3, and 4-6
Students explore the fascinating world of trees. They’ll learn about dendrochronology—the science of dating tree rings—using real “tree cookies” to uncover a tree’s history. Through hands-on games and activities, students identify species by leaves, seeds, and bark, and discover why some trees lose their leaves while others don’t. Each student creates a personalized “tree cookie” to chart their own growth while gaining a deeper understanding of trees’ vital role in the environment.
Jardinería Levels K-3, and 4-6
This program guides students through the life cycle of plants, from seed to bloom. They’ll explore soil types, nutrients, and watering needs while discovering how to care for plants responsibly. Students will get up close with fascinating flora and learn how to nurture their own garden with care and curiosity. By the end, each student will plant and take home their very own plant, cultivating both green thumbs and environmental stewardship.
Polinizador Levels K-3, and 4-6
Students will journey into the world of pollinators—the butterflies, bees, bats, and moths that keep our ecosystems thriving. Through engaging activities, they’ll uncover how pollinators communicate, transform, and connect with the natural world. The program highlights their essential role in the environment and teaches students ways to protect them in their own communities. Each participant will make a bee buzzer craft to take home as a reminder of these tiny but mighty creatures.
