Fall “DOG DAYS” Weekend!
Saturday and Sunday, October 25 & 26
Celebrate one of the last major events of the season at Old Westbury Gardens with our Fall “DOG DAYS” Weekend! This cherished tradition invites you and your leashed pup to enjoy the gardens together all weekend long.
On Sunday, October 26, the excitement continues with our Fall Dog Parade & Costume Contest, where pups can strut their stuff and compete for prizes in categories like Best Overall and Funniest.
Join us for a weekend full of fun, fresh air, and furry friends!
LEASH & STROLL: Walk the Gardens with Your Dog!
On Saturday, October 25th and Sunday, October 26th, visitors may bring their leashed dogs to stroll the gardens. Leashed dogs are permitted throughout the gardens except in the Walled Garden.
Included with admission. Tickets MUST be purchased in advance. NO entry tickets will be sold at the ticket booth. Members or visitors using valid library passes do not need to make reservations.
FALL DOG PARADE & COSTUME CONTEST!
Sunday, October 26th at 3pm
As part of our celebration of everyone’s best friend this Dog Days Weekend, we are pleased to once again host the Fall Dog Parade and Costume Contest, a fun and anticipated yearly event where pooches (and their parents) get to strut their stuff for a chance to win prizes! The contest begins at 3pm on Sunday, 10/26. Costume Contest participants must register at the map stand by 2:00pm.
Prize categories include:
- Best Overall
- Prettiest
- Most Handsome
- Most Original
- Best Person & Dog
- Funniest
