Old Westbury Gardens is Pleased to Announce …

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, May 15-18, 2025

Garden Days returns for its fifth year with four days of events celebrating the beauty, resilience, and joy of gardening. New this year are a panel discussion on Nature’s Resiliency and a spring celebration concert. The weekend also features our popular plant sale, offering hard-to-find perennials and the Gardens’ signature plants—all grown on Long Island—plus expert-led horticultural tours and the ever-popular floral workshop.

Thursday, May 15 - Nature’s Resiliency: A Panel Discussion, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.

Kick off Garden Days at Old Westbury Gardens with an engaging panel discussion on Thursday, May 15, from 7:00–8:30 PM. Explore timely questions shaping our local environment: What is the impact of an ever-changing environment? What does the science say? What role does the community play in building a resilient ecosystem?

The panel will feature:

  • Jase Bernhardt, Director of Sustainability, Hofstra University

  • Lisa Ott, President, North Shore Land Alliance

  • Ullas Pedmale, Associate Professor, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory

  • Jennifer Wilson-Pines, President, North Shore Audubon Society

A Q&A session will follow the discussion. This is a FREE event, but registration is required.
