I didn’t receive/lost my membership card, can I still get into Old Westbury Gardens?

Yes! If your membership is active in our database our staff at the ticket booth can look you up by name and you will be admitted. Now that membership cards are digital, please see below or contact us at membership@oldwestburygardens.org or (516) 333-0048 Ext. 315 if you need help accessing them.

How many membership cards am I entitled to?

Individual level members are entitled to one card with the primary member’s name on it. All other membership levels are entitled to two cards. When signing up or renewing your membership there is a text box to indicate a name that you’d like to add to your second card. If you do not fill out the second card, we will issue one that says “Guest of (Your Name)”.

How long is my membership valid for?

Your membership is valid until the end of the month that you purchased it the following year. For example, if you purchase a membership on 7/15/22, it will be valid until 7/31/23.

Which gardens or arboretums will I have a reciprocal admission with by joining Old Westbury Gardens?

Old Westbury Gardens is a part of the American Horticultural Society’s Reciprocal Admissions Program. Click here for more information and to see a list of participating gardens.


Digital Membership Cards and

the Member Portal

 

How do I access my digital membership card?

If you are already a member with us, you will have received an email with a link to your new digital card. If you are about to join us, you will receive an email as a part of a confirmation of your order that will contain a link. You can also access your digital cards by logging into our new Member Portal.

How to I access the Member Portal?

Click on “Member Portal,” which is also available on the dropdown menu at the top of this page by hovering over “Membership”. Enter in the email that is associated with your membership, click “Next",” and then check your email for a verification code. Enter the code into the text box provided and you will gain access to your membership card, contact information, and past orders with us.

How do I present my digital membership card to gain admission?

Whether you are looking at your digital card in the member portal or from the link sent to your email, there will be several options given to you at the bottom of the page. The options will look like this:

The first option allows you to print out your membership card if you prefer to keep a physical card in your wallet, car, or wherever is most convenient for you. The second allows you to download the card to your computer so that you can choose where to store it digitally. The third is for iPhone users, which will add your membership card to your Apple Wallet for easy access, and the last is an option for android smartphone users. Similarly to the Apple Wallet, android phones have a Google Pay function that will store your card for your convenience.
