2025 Midsummer Nights

Thursday through Sunday, June 19 – 22, 2025

Midsummer is the longest day of the year and was long considered a magical night. Midsummer celebrations always involve plants—especially flowering ones. So, what better place to celebrate these stars of nature than in a garden?

MIDSUMMER JAZZ

Thursday, June 19 — 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Enjoy jazz standards and original compositions of musician and composer Glafkos Kontemeniotis and his trio Monk for President with Vince “Kazi” McCoy on drums and Fred Berman on double bass.

Before, during, or after, stroll the gardens decorated with floral arrangements and illuminated with lanterns.

Drinks and appetizers provided; you’re welcome to bring a picnic dinner. The event will be held in the Garden of Appreciation. Parking will be by the Walled Garden. OWG staff will direct guests to this area.

MIDSUMMER NIGHTS

Friday, June 20, Saturday, June 21 AND Sunday, June 22— 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Guests of all ages are invited to picnic, stroll, and relax on the longest nights of the year. The Gardens will be illuminated with lanterns and decorated with wreaths and floral arrangements.

Bring a picnic dinner or purchase food and beverages on site from Cafe in the Woods, operated by Polka Dot Poundcake of Rockville Centre.

Ticket sales are final. In case of inclement weather, guests may attend on Friday, Saturday or Sunday and will receive complimentary general admission tickets.

Gates open at 6:00 p.m.

Midsummer Nights is a rain or shine event. In the event of rain, tickets can automatically be used for the other nights. Only in the event of severe weather will Old Westbury Gardens cancel the event on that night.
