Midsummer marks the longest days of the year—a season long associated with wonder, light, and celebration. For centuries, midsummer festivities have centered around flowers, greenery, and the beauty of the natural world. There’s no better place to experience that magic than surrounded by blooming gardens at their peak.

MIDSUMMER JAZZ

Thursday, June 25 — 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Monk for President has redefined the art of the jazz trio. Featuring Glafkos Kontemeniotis (piano), Fred Berman (bass), and Vince ‘Kazi’ McCoy (drums), the group delivers a high-wire act of musical conversation. From timeless standards to deep-cut favorites, and originals from Glafkos. Their improvisation has graced iconic stages like Bryant Park, Central Park Summer Stage and the Schomburg Center. Don’t miss this masterclass in intuitive jazz.

Before, during, or after, stroll the gardens decorated with floral arrangements and illuminated with lanterns.

TICKETS: $40 (Members receive a 20% discount),

Includes lite seasonal fare, unlimited refreshing lemonade, brewed iced teas and assorted seltzers. 

Additional wine, beer and prosecco may be purchased separately. You’re welcome to bring a picnic dinner.

LOCATION: The event will be held in the Garden of Appreciation. Parking will be by the Walled Garden. OWG staff will direct guests to this area.


MIDSUMMER NIGHTS!

FRIDAY – SUNDAY, June 26-28 — 6:30pm – 9:30 pm

Guests of all ages are invited to picnic, stroll, and relax on one of the longest nights of the year. The Gardens will be illuminated with lanterns and decorated with wreaths and floral arrangements.

Bring a picnic dinner or purchase food and beverages on site from Café in the Woods, operated by Polka Dot Poundcake of Rockville Centre. 

Gates open at 6:00 p.m.

Midsummer Nights is a rain or shine event. In the event of rain, tickets can automatically be used for the other nights. Only in the event of severe weather will Old Westbury Gardens cancel the event on that night.
