Tiny Gardeners
Join us for Tiny Gardeners, a hands-on nature program designed especially for children ages 2–3. Each week focuses on a different sense as young learners explore the gardens through movement, storytelling, and sensory play.
Each session includes a garden tour, story time at the Cottage Garden, and age-appropriate sensory activities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and early learning through nature.
Week 1
TOUCH: Use the sense of touch to explore soil, planting, and watering while learning how gardeners care for plants.
Week 2
SIGHT: Discover the colors of the garden through guided walks, stories, and hands-on color sorting activities.
Week 3
TASTE: Explore the sense of taste by exploring foods, sharing with friends, and seeing how plants become the foods we eat.
Week 4
SMELL: Follow your nose to explore fragrant flowers and herbs while learning how plants and animals use scent.
Week 5
HEARING: Listen to nature’s sounds, explore simple instruments, and enjoy songs and movement inspired by the garden.
