Old Westbury Gardens is pleased to announce the Long Island Celtic Festival to be held on Saturday, August 24, 8am-5pm, on the expansive lawns in front of historic Westbury House. This full-day event is organized and produced by Old Westbury Gardens.
The festival will honor those persons of Celtic heritage on Long Island and the NY metro area. The festival will feature entertainment for all ages, as well as vendors specializing in Celtic products as well as food trucks. Some of the vendors and groups who participated in the LI Scottish Festival held at the Gardens in previous years will be returning.

Making their first appearance at Old Westbury Gardens and headlining the festival will be Derek Warfield and The Young Wolfe Tones. A special group of Irish men and women have been responsible for preservation of the tradition of Irish ballad singing over the past 50 years. Derek Warfield is a distinguished name among them. Derek Warfield and The Young Wolfe Tones are bringing that musical tradition forward with a reverence for Ireland’s past and the energy and optimism of a new generation of Irish musicians.

One of the finest Celtic musicians in the United States, multi-instrumentalist Jesse Ofgang brings an exciting mix of traditional and contemporary Scottish music to the festival stage. Jesse earned his master’s degree in Scottish music from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, specializing in great highland bagpipes, border pipes and whistles.
Joining Jesse is 2019 All-Ireland Singing champion Kevin Elam on guitar, vocals and whistles and Sean Rosenberry on Bodhran, vocals and fiddle.
