This spring and summer, internationally acclaimed artist Sean Kenney brings Nature Connects® to Old Westbury Gardens—an outdoor exhibition featuring 17 larger-than-life sculptures inspired by the beauty of the natural world. Built from more than 300,000 LEGO® bricks, these vibrant works blend art, science, and nature, inviting visitors of all ages to explore the gardens in a whole new way.
The exhibition opens May 15, 2026, with a special Members-Only Opening Day, giving Old Westbury Gardens Members the opportunity to experience the exhibition before it opens to the public on May 16.

NEW! Have a Brick Builder’s Birthday Party at the Gardens!
Celebrate our new Sean Kenney’s Nature Connects® made with LEGO® bricks exhibition with brick building fun in the gardens! Kids (ages 5-9 only), will explore on a scavenger hunt, team up for creative build challenges, play games, and create their own mini garden by decorating a planter and planting a plant—all while sparking their imagination and building amazing birthday memories.
About the Artist
Sean Kenney has been creating art with LEGO® bricks professionally since 2005. Since 2012, he has toured his exhibitions across the globe—including the USA, Canada, Australia, China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe—where millions have experienced his work in person.
In addition to his exhibitions, Sean is the author of nine children’s books and has made numerous media appearances. He served as a guest judge on the UK’s reality TV show LEGO Masters, was featured in a 30-minute documentary on Japan’s NHK public broadcasting network, and has appeared on HGTV as well as countless major news outlets, morning shows, radio programs, newspapers, and magazines around the world.
Sean has also been commissioned to create custom LEGO artwork for celebrities and high-profile figures, including Tina Fey, Drew Carey, and Google co-founder Larry Page.
